What does “light housekeeping” or "light cleaning" really mean?
Dusting, vacuuming, and surface cleaning.
We recognize a clean and tidy living space is essential to your loved one’s well-being. Light housekeeping services encompass tasks such as:

- Sweeping
- Vacuuming
- And surface cleaning.
Caregivers are trained to handle these duties efficiently, ensuring that clients' homes remain free from dirt, allergens, and clutter.
While our workers are not there to deep clean, or provide cleaning services, they are there to aid aging or unwell clients with a space that helps their physical and mental wellbeing.
Does it include laundry?
Staying on top of laundry can be challenging for many of the clients we care for. That's why our home care workers offer assistance with laundry tasks, including:
- Sorting
- Washing
- Drying
- And folding.
Caregivers follow specific instructions provided by the clients, ensuring that garments are handled with care and laundered according to their preferences. This service helps maintain cleanliness and hygiene while providing clients with fresh and neatly folded clothes.
What about other things, like going to the grocery store?
Our caregivers can use cash or pre-paid grocery cards to do necessary shopping on behalf of your client. For those that want an outing or have an appointment, our caregivers can also assist in escorting them to places like:
- The grocery store
- The doctor’s office
- An appointment at the salon
- Or an outing with friends or family members.
Caregivers cannot use a client's credit or debit card, and they cannot drive your loved one’s cars. However, they are trained to use gift cards or cash and report the amount or return change from a grocery store visit. And, home care workers keep clean and maintained cars to transport clients when needed.
An aide for well-being.
Beyond light housekeeping, laundry, vacuuming, errands and transportation, our caregivers offer a range of comprehensive services to enhance the overall well-being of their clients. These services may include:
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation
